Diane Gaidry is probably best known for her portrayal of Simone in the independent film, “Loving Annabelle”. In addition to “Loving Annabelle”, she performed lead roles in award winning feature films, including “The Dogwalker”, “America So Beautiful” and in maverick filmmaker, Rob Nilsson’s feature, “Need”, part of his 9@Night series shot in San Francisco’s Tenderloin. Her numerous short film performance credits include “Transaction” which won the Grand Prix du Jury at Clermont-Ferrand. Diane also had a number of guest appearances in TV shows.
Since returning to Buffalo, Diane has mostly performed in local theatre, primarily with the cutting edge company, Torn Space. She worked with experimental theatre director, Richard Foreman, on the Bridge Project, which resulted in his film, ‘Once Every Day’. In the Spring of 2012, Diane toured six cities in Europe performing the one-woman show ‘we are not afraid of the dark’. She also narrated the audio book, Safe Harbor, produced by Dog Ear Audio.
Diane co-founded the Los Angeles based, non-profit independent filmmaking collective, Filmmakers Alliance. Her passion for and belief in the power of the unique, individual voice led her to assist dozens of filmmakers in staying the course and realizing and sharing the vision of their films. Diane currently channels that passion for the unique gifts of individuals into her work as a life coach.
